Participants serve full-time for 10 months and must be between 18 and 24 years of age. NCCC builds teams of volunteers that are deployed to specific project sites. When older elementary students take the lead on community service projects, they gain public speaking skills, leadership experience, confidenceand younger students are more motivated to participate.
